About the event

This is a free workshop for adults who would like to have fun learning how to make a simple junk journal using things that would usually be thrown away.

A Junk Journal is a handmade book of recycled and found materials and ephemera. The pages can be used to write, draw, paint or record memories, thoughts, ideas, and inspiration. You can add tags, bookmarks, pockets and so much more.

Maximum of 10 adults so pre-booking is advised.

To book, please click on the RSVP button above and confirm you are coming.  Alternatively, email    summer-at-the-beach@hotmail.com

Take time to play and become absorbed in what you are doing - there are no rules or expectations - you can make and use a junk journal in whatever way you want to.   Giving yourself time and space to be creative is an integral part of being human and known to be very beneicial for health and wellbeing.  Making a junk journal is a cheap and easy way to be creative - no special tools are needed.

All materials will be provided although you are welcome to bring things along if you wish.  For example, old magazines and junk mail, envelopes and packaging, small scraps of fabric, ribbon or lace, used wrapping paper and cards, odd paper napkins and pieces of broken jewellery.
